The Medical Directorate of the National Sports Institute (IND) received state-of-the-art technological equipment to strengthen the evaluation and preparation of Venezuelan athletes from the national team
The Minister of Popular Power for Sports, Franklin Cardillo, led the delivery of 6 units of Blazer Pods, a novel system designed to evaluate and improve the reaction speed and cognitive abilities of high-level athletes.
The delivery was also attended by the director general of the medical management of the IND, Harold Díaz, and the team of psychologists that make up the triad to support the national teams.
The six units purchased, four will be used for the applied sports science laboratory for controlled tests, while the remaining two will be used for direct evaluations in the training field.
During his speech, Minister Franklin Cardillo emphasized that this investment is a direct contribution to the efforts of athletes and a fundamental step to ensure Venezuela's success in international competitions.
The Minister emphasized that the objective is to form a solid structure that will bring science to the field as soon as possible. “Let's start to generate better preparation conditions to achieve better performance and, consequently, better results,” he said.
