The Bolivarian Government supervised the construction of the Yoroko dam in Cumanacoa

During an oversight of the rehabilitation work of the Yoroko dam, in the municipality of Montes, in the state of Sucre, the sole authority of Cumanacoa, M/G Nayade Lockiby Belmontes, reported that 600 meters of steel pipe measuring 30 and 16 inches in diameter were replaced during the construction.
In addition, Belmonte explained that this work has already been carried out the casting of concrete, as well as the installation of reinforcing steel. “Today we can see its recovery practically renewed, today it is 95 percent advanced, it is the catchment dam, where men and women from this town make the Cumanacoa Rebirth Plan something of their own,” he said.
In the same way, he reported that at the San Lorenzo water treatment plant , improvements were made to infrastructure, internal and external lighting and the installation of a new thousand-kilowatt (KVA) generator.
“An emptying is being carried out to place the grids where the water will circulate, which is then purified in the San Lorenzo plant, then, through a 30-inch pipe, it reaches a desalination plant that has a capacity of 600 cubic meters, then it reaches the water treatment plant through a 16-inch pipe,” said Belmonte .
During this tour, the authorities expressed the joint work of the organized community with the Ministry of People's Power for Water Care, in this water project that guarantees drinking water service to 53,000 people.
