The country's agro-industrial sector completed a day of Q7 debate

In compliance with the instructions of the Minister of Popular Power for Food, Carlos Leal Tellería, the second day of debate and proposals for the 7 Transformations (7T) was held, with representatives of the fat, oil and sugar agro-industries.

The activity took place at the facilities of Petrleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), La Estancia in Caracas, according to a note published on the website of the National Superintendency of Agrifood Management (SUNAGRO).

He points out that the superintendent of SUNAGRO, Menry Fernández, accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Production and Marketing, Francisco Fonseca and the national coordinator of the Fats and Oils sector and president of Diana Industries, Félix Romero, participated in the different working groups, encouraging broad and participatory social dialogue between the above-mentioned sectors.

“The event that convenes us is the broad debate, where their proposals will be framed in the 2026-2031 Economic Development Plan, giving strength to the First (economic) Transformation of this New Historical Stage of Venezuela,” Fernández said.

For his part, Romero added, that “concrete results have been seen in the agribusiness of this important fat and oil sector, whose goal for 2024 is to achieve 80% of production.”

Some 250 people participated in the closing of the meetings, who are representatives of 165 agro-industrial companies in Venezuela.
