So far in the 2024-2025 school year, the deficit of teachers in the country has fallen by 80%, from 60,000 to 12,000 teachers, said the minister of education, Héctor Rodríguez.

Through a message published on his Telegram channel, he indicated that his office will continue working to bring the deficit of educators to zero. “One of the key actions (to advance this goal) has been payroll sincerity,” he said.

Rodríguez also noted that more than 56,000 teachers in early childhood, primary and secondary education have registered to participate in the expansion courses that will begin in the coming days.

He also pointed out that, through the Pedagogical Congress of Bolivarian Teachers, “we continue to promote debate in classrooms and the construction of educational proposals adapted to current challenges.”

“The first national evaluation of learning will begin this month of May, for a sample of students in the 3rd and 6th grades of elementary school, and the 3rd year of average,” said the minister, while calling on all the ministry's teams to continue working together to raise the quality of education in our country.
