The Haitian delegation deployed in the areas affected by the double earthquake, headed by the Minister of Health and Population, Sinal Bertrand, together with 29 doctors, visited the “Dr. Doral Mercedes González” Comprehensive Diagnostic Center (CDI), located in the La Atlántida sector of Catia La Mar, La Guaira state, where they inspected the facilities where they will operate.
During the tour of the CDI, the international delegation was accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Caribbean, Raúl Li Causi, who, in addition to acting as a political liaison, once again thanked the Haitian delegation for its humanitarian assistance.
Health professionals in Haiti are highly qualified in critical areas of medicine, such as orthopedics, traumatology, general surgery, anesthesiology, gynecology and emergency care, so their help is of vital importance for the care of people who require treatment in these specialties.
Haiti also arrived in the country with a shipment of 5.5 tons of essential medical supplies for the care of the population most impacted by the natural tragedy.
