This Thursday, March 5, the Health Board of the Program for Peace and Democratic Coexistence was installed, whose objective is to consolidate a road map that collects concerns, experiences and concrete proposals from all actors in the sector.
The installation of the aforementioned body headed by the Minister of Popular Power for Health, Nuramy Gutiérrez, took place at an event held in the auditorium of the University Hospital of Caracas.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the public and private health subsectors in the country, technological entrepreneurs in the area, union spokespersons and healthcare personnel, managers of private clinics, among others, according to a press release.
Minister Gutiérrez thanked the diversity of visions present and stressed that the social perspective is the cross-cutting axis for transforming the health system. Therefore, he stressed the importance of the Program listening to and including the sector as an indispensable piece in its line of work dedicated to social peace.
For his part, the Minister of Popular Power for Culture and coordinator of the Program for Peace and Democratic Coexistence, Ernesto Villegas, recognized the work and dedication of the hospital staff, while celebrating the dialogue that opens with this table.
“This is a country that speaks, is heard, recognized, validated and understood. (...) And not to brag or to flatter us, but to tell us the most uncomfortable and most shocking truths, but we tell each other with respect. Then, we exchange roles and realize that the aspirations of both are the same,” he said.
Ana María San Juan, Secretary General of the Program, was also present at the event, along with Gustavo Canchica, Indira Urbaneja, Ricardo Cusanno and Lamking Gonzáles, members of this forum for dialogue.
This activity is part of the agenda of meetings that the Program carries out with various sectors of national life, under the three pillars of work guided by the president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, such as political peace, social peace and economic peace.
