Since July 1, the costs of transportation, basic services, education, health, rents and telecommunications have increased, which will have an impact on inflation in the coming weeks.
Older adults will be the most affected because they receive minimum income that only covers a third of the estimated monthly expenditure, since the additional bonus has not been updated since March 2024.
Housing rents rise 66.1% per year. The bus fare in Buenos Aires reaches up to 629.50 pesos and fuel prices are also registering new increases. School fees rise between 2.4% and 4.2%, depending on the region.
As published by the Prensa Latina website, medical plans and drugs show increases of up to 2.6%, and the prices of electricity, gas and water reflect new increases. Telephone and internet services are also becoming more expensive after the elimination of regulatory caps, with bills that already exceed 124,000 pesos.
