The National Government and the country's shoemakers analyze strategies to strengthen this sector

Representatives of the footwear sector and authorities from the Ministry of Industries and National Production made progress in developing a roadmap to incorporate new production technologies, automate processes and develop specialized technical training in this area.
According to a press release from the portfolio, private producers and representatives of the State held a meeting where, in addition, they analyzed strategies to strengthen the entire national footwear production chain, from obtaining raw materials to commercialization.
In addition, the meeting highlighted the importance of establishing official channels between manufacturers, suppliers, tanners, designers, distributors and entrepreneurs, in a sustainable network aligned with national economic development objectives.
The meeting was led by the Deputy Minister for Small, Medium Industry and New Associative Forms, Roigar López, and was attended by spokespersons from the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Foreign Trade; the Bicentennial Stock Exchange; Community Economic Circuits, among other representatives.
Directors of the Venezuelan Chamber of Footwear for Small and Medium Industry (CALZAPYMI) and the Venezuelan Chamber of Footwear and Components (CAVECAL) also attended, among other guests from the sector.
