This Tuesday, the Smolniy Training Ship of the Russian Federation's Baltic Fleet arrived in Venezuela as part of a working visit.
The ship was received after 10:00 (local time) at the international port of La Guaira, located in the state of Vargas, in the north of the country.
The crew is expected to participate in a wreath-laying ceremony in Plaza Bolívar-Chávez, in addition to visiting the governor's office and taking a tour of the historic center of La Guaira.
Admiral Alexander Moiseyev, Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, recently reported that the ships of the Russian Fleet will continue their long-distance cruises and will continue to carry out their tasks in areas of operational importance in the world ocean.
Last July, in the Venezuelan port of La Guaira, a ceremony was held to welcome a detachment of ships from the Northern Fleet of the Russian Navy - the frigate "Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Gorshkov" and the tanker "Akademik Pashin”.
