The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has eliminated support for Ukraine on cybersecurity issues, reported the Bloomberg portal, which accessed sources close to the subject and assure that Kiev is vulnerable to possible cyberattacks.
International media point out that in previous years, the US provided significant support to Ukraine in cybersecurity, allowing Kiev to defend itself against cyberattacks, however, that was before Trump arrived in the White House.
It is also known that the US Agency for International Development (USAID) disbursed more than 200 million dollars for Ukrainian cybersecurity in the last five years.
For its part, the Russia Today portal indicates that currently, most USAID programs have been suspended. This is to reduce bureaucracy and combat the ineffective spending of public funds.
Informants also say that the withdrawal of support and the poor relationship between Trump and the leader of the Ukrainian regime, Vladimir Zelensky, jeopardizes prospects for cybersecurity assistance.
