The US announced that it enlists 500 marines to deploy to Los Angeles

After the protests and clashes of demonstrators against police and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) forces in the city of Los Angeles, the United States Northern Command stated that there are 500 marines who are getting ready to deploy in the city to suppress anti-immigration protests if they receive the presidential order.

“They are in a state of readiness to deploy if necessary to increase and support the Department of Defense's efforts to protect federal property and personnel,” the U.S. Northern Command said in a statement.

The deployment in Los Angeles of around 2,000 California Army National Guard soldiers in response to President Donald Trump's order to control massive protests in the Southern California town.
