The Western Chapter Creative Robotics Olympics begin in Falcón

This May 8 and 9, the state of Falcón is positioned as the center of technology with the celebration of the Creative Robotics Olympics (ORC), the western chapter.
The Carlos Sánchez Gymnasium of the University Sports City, in the city of Coro, hosts 113 teams from the states Portuguesa (24), Lara (22), Zulia (21), Cojedes (17), Yaracuy (15) and the host Falcón (14).
The competition, according to a press release from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MINCYT), takes place in two modalities: Creative Ingenuity, with the participation of 68 teams, and Follow Creative Lines, with 45 other groups of young talents. Attendees are divided into three levels of complexity according to their training: Adventure, Challenge and Innovation.
The scientific hotbeds that present their projects during these two days belong to various educational institutions, including public, technical and private schools and lyceums.
Also noteworthy is the participation of Infocentros, the Bolivarian Foundation for Informatics and Telematics (Fundabit), robotics centers, universities and independent academies.
This competence is part of the first apex of the Great Mission of Science, Technology and Innovation Dr. Humberto Fernández-Morán, which establishes as a priority the protection and planting of national scientific talent for the development of the Homeland.
