On Monday, the organization Save the Childrens reported that 20,000 Palestinian children are missing in Gaza due to the Zionist assault on Palestinian territory, many of whom would be trapped under the rubble, detained, buried in unnamed graves or lost from their families.

In a statement, the UK-based organization stated that it is “almost impossible” to collect and verify information under the current conditions in Gaza, where Israel continues its ground and air attacks.

It is believed that at least 17,000 children are unaccompanied and separated from their families and it is likely that approximately 4,000 children are missing under the rubble, with an unknown number also in mass graves.

“Others have forcibly disappeared, including an undetermined number arrested and forcibly transferred out of Gaza, whose whereabouts are unknown to their families, amid reports of ill-treatment and torture,” the organization said.
