This Sunday, the Committee on the Affairs of Detainees and Former Detainees and the Society of Palestinian Prisoners (PPS) confirmed that the Palestinian detainee Walid Daqqa was martyred at the Assaf Harofeh hospital.
Daqqa was deprived of liberty for nearly four decades in Israeli occupation prisons and during his kidnapping he suffered various forms of grievance, martyrdom and, in particular, medical indolence, which resulted in his murder.
Human rights groups previously requested his release for humanitarian reasons due to the worsening of his situation since October 7, 2023, after which he suffered martyrdom, degradation, lack of family visits and health neglect.
