Tigres de Aragua joins a new imported launcher

The Tigres de Aragua baseball team continues to reinforce its roster for the 2025-26 season of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP) and this Thursday they announced their second import from the United States to seek the title of champion.
This is reliever Cory Thompson, a 30-year-old right-hander who has spent two years in independent leagues and has also pitched for the farms of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Cincinnati Reds.
“The Tigres de Aragua organization officially announces its second import for the coming 2025-2026 LVBP season, this is the reliever Cory Thompson,” reads a statement from the team.
In that regard, the team stated that “the 30-year-old right-hander accumulates a two-year experience in independent leagues, in addition to pitching in the minor league system with the organization of the St. Louis Cardinals, in the Class A, Class A+ and AA categories.”Mazo News Team
