A total of 120 Dancing Devils honored this Thursday, June 4th, the Blessed Sacrament of the Altar in the municipality of Ocumare de la Costa de Oro in the state of Aragua.
This is a day of tradition and faith, declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2012.
Nicolás González, secretary of culture of the entity's government, highlighted the support given to the cultural event that takes place throughout the territory.
” Aragua is culture and tradition. We are proud of our events that celebrate the day of Corpus Christi and that shelter visitors,” he said.
For his part, Luis Lovera, director of culture of the municipality, commented that it is a day that combines tradition, culture, faith and Ocumareño kindness. “On the Solemnities of the Blessed Sacrament, we continue to motivate, help and promote the festivities and cultural events in our municipality. Today 120 dancers toured the altars located throughout the municipality, each brotherhood in their town, highlighting Ocumare, Cata, Cuyagua and the rest of the hamlets,” he said.
