The US President, Donald Trump, announced that he thanked the Government of Iran for its bravado, in giving his nation advance notice of the sites to be bombed by the military forces of the Persian nation against US installations in order to minimize casualties in this operation.
“I want to thank Iran for notifying us promptly, which made it possible that no lives were lost or that no one was injured. Perhaps Iran can now proceed to peace and harmony in the region, and I will enthusiastically encourage Israel to do the same,” he says on his social network Truth Social.
He stressed that Iran notified the United States in advance of the bombing that Tehran carried out against its air base in Qatar.
Iranian sources cited by The New York Times highlight that the warning is part of a strategy similar to the one used in 2020, when Iran alerted Iraq before firing ballistic missiles at a US base on Iraqi soil, after the assassination of Iranian commander Qasem Soleimani 5 years ago.
