Twelve people died as a result of landslides in Nepal

In Nepal, a tragic incident was reported in which twelve people lost their lives and 65 are still missing, after two buses were trapped in a landslide, said Basant Kumar Sharma, a local police spokesman.
In this regard, he explained that seven members of the same family and three additional people died in the Kashi district, while buses swept away by avalanches in the Chitwan district left passengers missing.
He indicated that the two rescue teams are working hard to locate them. In addition, another bus driver lost his life in a related incident in the same area.
Floods, landslides and avalanches caused by heavy rains are common in Nepal during the monsoon season, which usually runs from mid-June to early October, according to a note from Xinhua.
