Two dead and 20 injured after a Mexican Navy sailboat crash against a bridge in New York

At least two dead and 20 injured of varying degrees after a training ship of the Mexican Navy, carrying around 270 people, collided with the lower part of one of the infrastructures of the Brooklyn Bridge, in New York.
This was announced by the Secretariat of the Navy of Mexico, SEMAR, which has reported that the two crew members of the boat have died from serious injuries caused by the accident, while 11 are in serious condition and nine of them are stable.
Claudia Sheinbaum, president of Mexico, mourned the death of these two people and points out that SEMAR continues to treat the injured together with local authorities, whom she thanked for their support.
“We are very sorry for the death of two crew members of the Cuauhtémoc training ship, who lost their lives in the unfortunate accident in New York Harbor. Our solidarity and support for families. SEMAR, together with local authorities, is treating the injured. The Mexican ambassador to the United States and the staff of the Consulate General in New York are supporting them. I thank the mayor of New York, Eric Adams, for all the support,” said the Aztec president in X.
