Under-17 National Basketball Championship will see action in Lara

From April 28 to May 3, the state of Lara will host the Under-17 National Basketball Championship, in which men's and women's teams from 23 states of the country and the Capital District will compete, in a format that will have three divisions and will be played in four venues.

The Bolivarian Dome, the Napoleón Rodríguez gymnasium and the gymnasium of the Lisandro Alvarado Central Western University, in Barquisimeto, together with the Apucla gymnasium in Cabudare, will be the venues that will receive the action of the tournament organized by the Venezuelan Basketball Federation (FVB), according to a press release from the Ministry of Popular Power for Sports.

The men's first division will be divided into two groups with A consisting of the states Miranda, Zulia, Carabobo and Anzoátegui, while the B division will be played by Caracas, Sucre, Aragua and Lara. In the second division, Barinas, Falcón, Guárico and Apure will clash in group C, while in Bolívar La Guaira, Trujillo and Nueva Esparta they will do so in D.

In the case of the third division, in group E the entities of Yaracuy, Táchira, Cojedes and Amazonas will clash, followed by Monagas, Portuguesa, Delta Amacuro and Yaracuy who will join in F, respectively.

Women's basketball will also have three divisions.
