Under-19 national boxing team ready to participate in the Future World Cup in Thailand

The under-19 national boxing team will participate in the Future World Cup, which will take place in Bangkok, Thailand, from this Friday, March 6 to 15.
The national representation is led in the women's division by Grenyelis García (51 kg) and Yeniree Castillo (54 kg), while in the men's category Roswell Domínguez (51 kg) and Wilmerson González (55 kg) are in charge of wearing the tricolor suit, according to the press release of the Ministry of Popular Power for Sports.
For its part, the Venezuelan coaching staff is made up of coaches Bautista Hernández and José Luis Zárraga, doctor Claro Blank and official delegate Edgar Muñoz.
Muñoz, said that Venezuelan boxing faces this commitment with the utmost responsibility and hope of being within the Dakar qualification quota.
“We are convinced that we can once again have medalists in this sporting event and continue to build the future of our boxing,” said the federation.
He also stressed that participation in the Future Cup is the product of continuous work carried out from the grassroots in coordination such as the Ministry of Sports.
This joust will define the places for the 10 weight categories (five divisions by gender) established for boxing in the youth Olympic event, making Bangkok a fundamental competition for Venezuelan fighters.
