The National Experimental
University of the Arts (UNEARTE) commemorated its 17th
anniversary, with an artistic day at the Plaza Universitaria Hugo Chávez
Frías, where a plaque was inaugurated and unveiled in honor of the mural renovated by Nikolay Monroy Shamaniko.
During
the event, the work of outstanding artists and
cultural organizations was recognized, including the Red Art Foundation, the Science Museum and the Open Sky Cultural
School, a Venezuelan Television review.
The event was also accompanied by the presentation of the UNEARTE Caracas University Orfeón,
with musical performances by the students of the Carayaca
Learning Environment and the Altos Mirandinos.
The Tango Matigua, directed by Yermy Martíne z, was also
presented, a play by Juan
Pablo Sojo that combined acting, dance and comedy in a performance of great scenic impact.
In addition, the contemporary dance Contemplation, by
Alexandra Márquez, Kenymar Marrero and Liliana Escalona, provided a moment of introspection and artistic expression.
The closing of the day was led by the
students of the CECA Modesto Bor, who offered a sample of
joropo dance, singing and instrumental performance. The celebration culminated with the rhythm of the Venezuelan
drum, which transformed the space into a collective party full of
joy, tradition and cultural strength.
With this day, UNEARTE reaffirms its commitment
to artistic training and the preservation of
Venezuelan cultural expressions, consolidating itself as a reference in the education and promotion of art in the country.
