The Metropolitan University Extension (Unimet), in Caracas, will begin the diploma course from Cocoa to Chocolate Cultivation on April 24, in collaboration with the KKO Real School of Chocolate and Confectionery.

This program, which will be held in person at the university facilities on Fridays and Saturdays from 8:00am to 4:00pm, until July 31, will cover everything from the genetics of the cacao plant in the nursery to the finer techniques of chocolate making.

There are four modules that will be taught: Origin and Earth, in which we will talk about cocoa production in Venezuela and the world, planting and harvesting techniques, and a technical visit will be made to the KKO Real nursery, in Guarenas.
