United Arab Emirates announced the success of its mediation efforts with Russia and Ukraine

This Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced the success of its mediation efforts in relation to the exchange of prisoners of war between the Russian Federation and Ukraine to release 180 captives, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.

The emirate's foreign ministry emphasized that the success of the new mediation, which is the fifth since the beginning of this year, is the result of the UAE taking advantage of its distinctive ties and its association with both parties, even as a reliable mediator between both parties.

The UAE also affirmed its commitment to continue efforts aimed at finding a peaceful solution to the conflict, stressing the importance of resorting to dialogue, de-escalation and diplomacy, as the only ways to resolve the conflict and mitigate the humanitarian repercussions resulting from the crisis.
