Through the social network Instagram, the Ministry of Popular Power for University Education (MPPEU) reported that the sector held a working meeting of the expanded ministerial board, led by the head of the portfolio Ricardo Sánchez.

According to information from the MPPEU, during the day, Sánchez explained that the new work methodology developed to strengthen dialogue and relationship with the university sector was presented, with the main objective of achieving greater coordination and synergy between the capacities, opportunities, needs and solutions that schools can provide to the country's 18 strategic productive engines.

He also indicated that he presented the proposal to build and prepare a detailed map of the capacities installed in universities, both in terms of infrastructure, equipment and qualified human capital.

In addition, he noted that the main opportunities for collaboration and interaction between universities and affiliated entities, as well as with productive engines, were promptly identified, and the main needs and gaps that must be addressed to strengthen the University-Productive Sector link were identified.

He indicated that an action plan will be designed with concrete solutions to synchronize the university's “dial” with the requirements of the 18 productive engines. On this point, the minister stressed that “we are convinced that this new work scheme will allow us to take more efficient and effective advantage of the enormous potential represented by the Venezuelan university ecosystem.”
