The President of the United States, Donald Trump, reported that his country completed a “very successful attack” against three “nuclear sites” in Iran.
In a post through his Truth Social account, Trump detailed that the attacks were aimed at Fordow, Natanz and Elsfahan.
He also asserted that all the planes are now out of Iranian airspace. “A full load of bombs was dropped on the main facility, Fordow,” he added.
The US offensive comes a few hours after the meeting of European representatives with the Iranian Foreign Minister in Geneva to try to reach an agreement on the Iranian nuclear program.
On the other hand, the United States maintains close to 40,000 soldiers in the Middle East.
Iran has repeatedly reiterated that it is not developing nuclear weapons, statements that were supported by the director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, who on June 18 reported that his inspectors “had no evidence that Iran is developing nuclear weapons”.
