USA: Pilot and co-pilot die after Air Canada plane crash with fire truck in NY

A tragic accident occurred at LaGuardia Airport in New York, United States (USA), on Sunday night, when a Jazz Aviation flight, operated for Air Canada, collided with a fire truck on the runway.
The impact caused the death of the pilot and co-pilot of the aircraft, in addition to leaving dozens injured. The Port Authority rescue vehicle was in the area responding to a different emergency when it was hit by the plane, carrying 72 passengers and four crew members from Montreal.
The authorities immediately activated emergency protocols and ordered the total closure of operations at the airport. According to the executive director of the Port Authority, Kathryn Garcia, a total of 41 people were transferred to hospitals, including two occupants of the fire truck who are stable.
According to the tracking portal FlightRadar24, it recorded that the aircraft was traveling at about 209 km/h at the time of the impact. The Federal Aviation Administration ordered the shutdown of operations while investigations are progressing.
