Various Arab groups, media and political actors rejected the capture of Nasser al-Lahham, director of Al Mayadeen's office in occupied Palestine, executed by Israeli forces.
The Al Mayadeen network reported a maneuver aimed at restricting the dissemination of events in Gaza and the West Bank. The station reiterated its request for the unconditional release of the journalist, who has more than thirty years of work.
From Lebanon, Hezbollah's media relations office held Israeli authorities responsible for implementing mechanisms to restrict media coverage and requested urgent intervention from humanitarian agencies.
In Beirut, Roni Alpha, representative of Al Mayadeen, expressed his support for the arrested reporter on social networks, pointing out the symbolic weight of his work.
For its part, the office of Sheikh Al-Khalisi, in Kadhimiya, Iraq, stated that an attempt is being made to erase testimonies about the suffering of the Palestinian population, but warned that these actions will not succeed in silencing criticism or stopping the dissemination of facts.
The Al-Mujahidin movement maintained that the arrest reflects the behavior of the occupying regime, expressed its support for the network and assured that it remains committed to showing the events of the conflict.
According to what was published by the Al Mayadeen agency, different voices warn that the capture of Al-Lahham responds to an effort to hinder access to information, revealing the occupant's strategic weakness.
