Corporación Venezolana de Navegación SA (VENAVEGA) successfully sailed, docked and unloaded the famous ship José María España, loaded with 15,000 tons of aggregate material, destined for the works being carried out under the Great Venezuela Transport Mission (GMTVZLA).
The maneuver was carried out from the Pertigalete Plant, located in the state of Anzoátegui, to the Port of La Guaira, where logistics protocols were implemented that guaranteed an efficient and safe operation at all times.
The captain of the ship, Luis Verde Bejarano, said he felt very calm and happy to work on a ship flying the Venezuelan flag, observing the boats on our shores, transporting goods by cabotage, “without a doubt it is satisfactory,” VENAVEGA reported.
It is worth mentioning that this maritime operation was carried out in the context of the Cabotage Plan, to facilitate the movement of supplies in Venezuela.
Cabotage navigation, or maritime transport between national ports, offers multiple benefits that translate into efficiency and savings, since this method reduces logistics costs, optimizes delivery times and minimizes environmental impact compared to land transport.
In addition, it facilitates the mobilization of large volumes of cargo, which is essential for large plans such as those promoted by this significant governmental mission.
