The Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, held a meeting this Thursday with representatives of the Republic of Colombia, where they signed a memorandum of understanding that will lay the foundations for the creation of the Zone of Peace, Union and Binational Development, proposed by President Nicolás Maduro.
After sealing the alliance, Rodríguez stressed that it contemplates “everything that has to do with energy cooperation between our countries”, stressing the need to “interconnect all of Latin America to promote its development”.
Rodríguez pointed out that this agreement is a message of brotherhood for the world, and that “the relationships that can be built are relations of brotherhood, respect for laws and complementarity; if this were respected worldwide, the genocide in Palestine or the Zionist expansion of NATO would not be taking place.”
“The two teams, Colombia and Venezuela, are very happy, because this has been an agreement between President Gustavo Petro and President Nicolás Maduro, who have thought about the peoples of our border, about the peoples that live in the north of Santander, about the peoples that live in the state of Táchira, in the state of Zulia, it is for the benefit of our peoples,” he said.
