Venezuela and Colombia strengthen cultural cooperation at the Ibero-American Congress “Arts for Peace”

The Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Raúl Cazal, held a bilateral meeting with his Colombian counterpart, Yannai Kadamani, within the framework of the Ibero-American Congress of Artistic and Cultural Education and Training “Arts for Peace” 2026, which is being held in Bogotá, Colombia.
During the day, both reaffirmed the will of their governments to establish common mechanisms in the area of artistic education. In addition, they highlighted the mutual interest in promoting the organization of large joint events and the exchange of experiences around the various expressions of art and culture.
Both authorities agreed to approach culture as a transformative tool, capable of constructing narratives that vindicate the identity and memory of peoples. At the same time, they emphasized the importance of reaching agreements that consolidate peace and integral development through multidisciplinary binational integration.
Finally, the meeting confirmed that diplomatic relations between Venezuela and Colombia are based on the principles of respect, solidarity and complementarity, united by a common history.
