The Minister of Popular Power for Fisheries and Aquaculture, Juan Carlos Loyo, received the ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Dagoberto Rodríguez, to hold a binational meeting, with the purpose of strengthening cooperation between both nations in the field of fishing and aquaculture, areas of great importance for the economic and sustainable development of both countries.
During the meeting, the head of the Fisheries and Aquaculture portfolio emphasized that this meeting seeks to strengthen the 2030 strategic agenda of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples' Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) promoted by the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, last February.
In this regard, he indicated that more than 35 Venezuelan companies in the fishing and aquaculture sector participated in this activity.
“Today, this government-business meeting is taking place between the sister Republic of Cuba through its ambassador and its authorities (...), for this year a fundamental element is that the president gave us the order to project ourselves within the framework of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of ALBA,” he said.
