Venezuela and Diplomatic University of Azerbaijan strengthen academic alliance

Both authorities agreed on the need to continue the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2023 between Venezuela and Azerbaijan

The “Pedro Gual” Institute for Higher Diplomatic Studies (IAEDPG) and the Diplomatic University of Azerbaijan (ADA) are making progress in strengthening their academic cooperation agenda, following a virtual meeting between Director General Tatiana Pugh and Ambassador Fariz Ismailzade.

The videoconference kicked off a joint worksheet aimed at academic exchange, specialized training and the promotion of bilateral cooperation in the field of diplomacy and international relations between Venezuela and Azerbaijan, Venezuelan Television reports.

During the meeting, Pugh thanked the Azerbaijani university for its willingness to consolidate mechanisms of inter-institutional coordination, while highlighting the previous participation of Venezuelan officials in training programs of the ADA and the prestige of that house of studies in the diplomatic field.

He also presented the academic advances of the institute, which currently has 425 students in graduate programs, in addition to highlighting the recent graduation of new master's degrees and the upcoming addition of more specialists in this month of May.

Both authorities agreed on the need to give continuity to the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2023 between Venezuela and Azerbaijan, with the objective of consolidating cooperation between diplomatic institutions and universities of both countries in the area of training and academic development.
