Venezuela and Egypt are making progress in consolidating an alliance in pharmaceutical matters

The Minister of Health, Nuramy Gutierrez, held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Kareem Amin, in order to move forward in the reactivation of cooperation mechanisms for the purchase of medicines and medical technology for the benefit of both nations.

According to a press release from the health portfolio, both authorities explored concrete plans for the acquisition of traditional supplies and the development of specific drugs aimed at vulnerable populations that lack mass commercial care.

In this regard, the head of Health stressed that the work agenda included technology transfer and the possibility of establishing pharmaceutical production centers in the national territory. The minister also highlighted the offer of educational exchanges that will allow the transfer of Venezuelan professionals to Egypt and the arrival of Egyptian specialists to the country, to strengthen scientific knowledge in various areas of medicine.

For his part, His Excellency Mr. Kareem Amin expressed his government's genuine interest in consolidating fraternity with Venezuela through the transfer of technical knowledge.
