The Minister of People's Power for Health, Nuramy Gutiérrez, and the ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Kareem Amin, established a strategic road map for setting up drug production centers and reactivating cooperation in the field of medical technology in the national territory.

The Ministry of Popular Power for Health (MPPS), on its website, noted that the meeting, held in the ministerial office, focused on defining the acquisition of supplies and the development of specific drugs for vulnerable populations, meeting needs that tend to remain outside traditional commercial circuits.

Both officials defined technology transfer strategies aimed at strengthening health sovereignty and ensuring access to essential medical and pharmaceutical supplies.

In terms of education, Gutiérrez stressed that this alliance will allow Venezuelan specialists to travel to Egypt, while Egyptian experts will provide technical support in the country, thus promoting scientific development in various areas of health.

For his part, the ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Venezuela, Kareem Amin, confirmed his Government's willingness to supply raw materials and strengthen ties through technical advice.

At the end of the meeting, the representatives agreed to hold permanent working groups to finalize, in the short term, the agreements that will formalize local production and high-level academic training.
