Through his Telegram channel, the foreign minister, Yván Gil, reported that he had a conversation with his counterpart from Ethiopia, Gedion Timothewos Hassebo, in order to advance bilateral cooperation between the two nations.
In the publication, Gil specified that the conversation took place “with the objective of reviewing our bilateral ties and continuing to move towards the integration of our peoples, as well as towards an inclusive and prosperous world order.”
“Diplomatic relations between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia were formalized on July 20, 1950. In 2006, the Bolivarian Government established a permanent diplomatic mission in Addis Ababa, appointing its first ambassador, where the African Union is also headquartered,” said the Foreign Ministry.
