Venezuela and Germany strengthen cooperation for commercial exchange

In order to consolidate economic diplomacy and the opening of new markets, a commission of the Bolivarian Government received in Venezuela a high-level delegation from Germany, which expressed specific interest in sectors of the country's productive structure, the Ministry of the People's Power of Foreign Trade reported on its website.
The Deputy Minister of International Policy, Andreína Tarazón, was in charge of receiving the president of the Initiative for Latin America of the German Economy (LAI), Ingo Kramer, and the head of the North America and Latin America section of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK), Mark Heinzel, as part of the German representatives.
During the meeting, both delegations agreed that Venezuela has exceptional potential in the areas of technology and agro-industry, sectors that could benefit from knowledge transfer and investment of German capital, aimed at positioning the Bolivarian nation as an attractive destination for business and mutual cooperation with European nations.
According to information from the aforementioned Ministry, the priority areas for export and marketing to the German market are: petrochemicals, fertilizers, metals, coffee, cocoa, rum, food and beverages, which represents an opportunity to strengthen bilateral ties and explore new investment opportunities in the country.
