Venezuela and India agree to deepen and expand bilateral partnership in all areas

The president in
charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, held a telephone conversation
this Friday with the Prime Minister of the Republic
of India, Narendra Modi, in which they agreed to deepen and expand the bilateral partnership in all areas.
During the
contact, described as “a dialogue of deep human and spiritual connection”,
Rodríguez thanked the Government and the People of India for their supportive support to Venezuela.
“Prime Minister Modi reiterated his willingness to accompany the Venezuelan people
in the defense of their peace, sovereignty and independence,” he said on his Telegram channel.
He also explained
that they addressed “strategic cooperation in energy, agriculture, science and
technology, the pharmaceutical industry, mining, the automotive sector and tourism; and
we agreed to move forward on a common road map to relaunch our relations in 2026".
Both leaders
highlighted the importance of the links between their citizens to promote a deeper cultural
understanding and expressed their willingness to raise technical
cooperation to new levels of efficiency and shared development.
“They exchanged
views on various regional and global issues of mutual interest
and emphasized the importance of their close cooperation for the
Global South,” reads an official press release from the Indian Government.
