Venezuela and Indonesia strengthen strategic alliances in the aquaculture sector

The Minister of People's Power for Fisheries and Aquaculture, Juan Carlos Loyo, held a strategic meeting with the diplomatic delegation of the Republic of Indonesia, led by Ambassador Fikry Cassidy, to strengthen bilateral cooperation ties. Both authorities analyzed various investment opportunities aimed at strengthening the national fishing and aquaculture sector through the exchange of technical experiences between the two nations.

In this regard, the holder of the fishing portfolio highlighted the productive capacity of the states of Zulia, Falcón and Sucr, with an emphasis on shrimp farming, a sector that consolidated sustained growth in international markets. The visiting delegation, also composed of the counselor and head of Economic Affairs of the Indonesian Embassy, Romanna Sirai, and the representative of Economic Affairs, Imanudin Noor, evaluated current schemes to establish business alliances that promote aquaculture development within Venezuelan territory.

For his part, Ambassador Cassidy thanked the technical information presented by the Ministry of the People's Power of Fisheries and Aquaculture (Minesca) and confirmed his interest in implementing mutual investment projects. To advance these agreements, representatives of both countries coordinated future inspection visits that will formalize cooperation and exchange mechanisms in the field of aquaculture production.
