Venezuela and Qatar review binational economic development and investment agenda

The Minister of People's Power for Industries and National Production and president of the International Center for Productive Investment (CIIP), Alex Saab, met this Friday with the Qatari ambassador to Venezuela, Rashid Mohsin A. Fetais, to review the economic development and investment agenda between the two nations.

According to a press release from the CIIP, during the meeting, both officials highlighted the importance of expanding the agenda of joint work and the promotion of productive projects for the construction of a diversified, sustainable economy oriented to shared benefit.

Relations between Venezuela and Qatar have been consolidated in recent years with high-level binational exchanges, reaffirming the commitment to advance a common strategic agenda.

Caracas and Doha established diplomatic relations on May 24, 1973, strengthened since 1999 with Commander Hugo Chávez and continued with President Nicolás Maduro, with an important agenda in the agriculture, energy, infrastructure and investment sectors.
