Venezuela and Qatar strengthened bilateral cooperation ties

Caracas and Doha work to deepen brotherly ties and promote diplomatic exchanges

At a high-level diplomatic meeting, the Deputy Minister for Asia, the Middle East and Oceania of the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Tatiana Pugh Moreno, met with the ambassador of the State of Qatar accredited to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Rashid Mohsen Fetais, with the objective of addressing issues of common interest and strengthening bilateral cooperation ties between the two countries.

During the day, Ambassador Fetais presented Vice Minister Pugh with three letters of congratulations for the Venezuelan Independence Day, signed by His Highness the Emir of the State of Qatar, Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani; His Excellency Abdullah Bin, Vice Emir, and His Excellency Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Bin Jassim Altani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Caracas and Doha are working to deepen the bonds of brotherhood, as well as to promote diplomatic exchanges on issues of shared interest to both peoples.

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the State of Qatar established diplomatic relations on May 24, 1973.

Currently, they have 51 years of fruitful and close ties of friendship and cooperation, which have been strengthened over the past two decades, particularly in energy and gas matters.
