Venezuela and Russia offer Liberator Simon Bolivar to celebrate 80 years of diplomatic relations

As part of the activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Russian Federation, this Friday authorities from both nations made a wreath before the sarcophagus of the Liberator Simon Bolivar, in the National Pantheon in Caracas.

The activity was led by the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, accompanied by the Russian ambassador to Venezuela, Sergey Mélik-Bagdasárov, and the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, as well as the diplomatic corps accredited in the country.

Diplomatic relations between Caracas and Moscow were established on March 14, 1945, strengthened by the tireless work of their governments for the welfare of their peoples, through projects and agreements that have fostered the integral development of both nations.
