Venezuela and Russia strengthen educational ties with student exchange

The Russian ambassador to Venezuela, Sergey Melik-Bagdasarov, met with the president of the Grand Marshal Foundation of Ayacucho (FUNDAYACUCHO), Iroschima Vásquez Montilla, to discuss current issues regarding the strengthening of student exchanges as part of the scholarship program of the Government of the Russian Federation.

According to information from Venezolana de Televisión, during the meeting both parties emphasized the importance of continuing collaboration in the educational field, which reinforces the bonds of friendship between the two countries.

The FUNDAYACUCHO team participated last month in the Municipal BRICS International Forum, which took place in the city of Moscow, in which the representative of the Venezuelan entity held a meeting with the Minister of the Government of Moscow, head of the Department of Economic, Foreign and International Relations of Moscow, Sergey Cheremin, to exchange experiences related to both cities and some exchange proposals were established in different areas, based on the potentialities of both nations.

Likewise, the coordinator of FUNDAYACUCHO Caracas, Johan Moreno, participated in the International BRICS Municipal Forum in Moscow, Russia, and the necessary articulations were achieved to participate and carry the message of sovereignty and multilateral cooperation.

In addition, a day of meetings was held in which topics of interest in academic, economic, tourism and more were addressed, with a view to strengthening strategic policies of interest to the Municipal BRICS.
