Venezuela and Russia are making progress in strengthening their tourism relations with the reactivation of charter flights scheduled for August, as part of an agreement signed between Venezolana de Turismo (VENETUR) and the Russian company Pegas Touristk.
The Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Leticia Gómez, explained that the agreement will be valid for three years and includes a weekly flight with a capacity for 430 passengers. Russian tourists will be able to visit emblematic destinations such as Margarita Island, Canaima and the eastern part of the country.
Gómez emphasized that this initiative responds to the policies to promote tourism promoted by President Nicolás Maduro within the framework of Motor Tourism. It is estimated that, thanks to this agreement, Venezuela will receive 15,480 visitors from Russia this year.
