Within the framework of peace diplomacy, based on mutual recognition and the articulation of high-level alliances, the Deputy Minister for Europe and North America, Oliver Blanco, together with the ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the United Kingdom, Félix Plasencia, held a working meeting with a delegation from the British Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth and Development, in the spaces of the Yellow House “Antonio José de Sucre.”

The meeting was attended by the Director for the Americas and Small Island Developing States, Harriet Thompson; the Deputy Director of the Department, Catherine O'Neill; and the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the United Kingdom in Venezuela, Collin Dick, reviews the website of the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs (MPPRE).

It highlights that this visit, which represents the first official approach of a delegation from the British Foreign Ministry in recent years, was constituted as a favorable space to energize bilateral relations and explore new routes of commercial exchange, based on mutual understanding and respect for sovereignty.

This initiative, promoted by the president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, who held a meeting with representatives of the Diplomatic Missions of the European Union, the United Kingdom and Switzerland accredited in Caracas, earlier this year, confirms the firm willingness of the Venezuelan Government to expand and strengthen cooperation in strategic sectors.
