In his office in Caracas, the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, met this Thursday with the resident coordinator of the UN in Venezuela, Gianluca Rampolla, “with the purpose of updating the mechanisms of cooperation between our institutions and the United Nations System,” the Foreign Minister reported on his Telegram channel.

Through the same platform, he indicated that this meeting is framed in respect for sovereignty and the shared objective of promoting social development.

The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the United Nations System interact frequently, within the framework of existing cooperation. On September 28, Minister Gil met, in New York, with the Secretary General of the UN, António Guterres, who confirmed the political will of President Nicolás Maduro to strengthen cooperation and maintain channels of constructive dialogue with the highest level of global multilateralism.

Prior to this meeting, President Maduro held, on September 20, a fraternal telephone conversation with Guterres, in which they addressed the global political situation, especially that of Venezuela, after attempts at destabilization and conspiracies promoted from United States territory, with the complacency of his government, flagrantly violating International Law and the Charter of the United Nations, supported by extreme right wing extremism Latin American and European.

On September 20, the Head of State received coordinator Rampolla in Caracas, accompanied by Minister Gil, as part of the policies of the Bolivarian Government to protect the Nation, in the midst of the more than 900 unilateral coercive measures imposed by the American and European elites and affecting the economy and the integral development of the South American nation.
