Venezuela and Uganda strengthen cooperation in mineral development

The ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the
Republic of Uganda, Fátima Fernandes, held a meeting with the African country's Minister of
State for Energy and Mineral Development, Phiona Nyamutoro, to strengthen cooperation between the two nations.
During the meeting, held at the Ministry's headquarters in
Kampala, both authorities exchanged views on areas of common
interest and explored opportunities to strengthen relations in the mineral development
sector.
Ambassador Fernandes stressed the importance of
deepening ties of friendship and collaboration between Venezuela and Uganda,
while expressing her Government's interest in promoting joint projects that promote the exchange of experiences, the transfer of knowledge and sustainable
development in the sector, according to a press release from the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry.
The meeting reaffirms the commitment of both countries
to expand technical and economic cooperation in strategic sectors that
contribute to mutual development, as well as to strengthen diplomatic relations
.
