Venezuela and Uganda strengthen ties of cooperation and brotherhood

The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela officially accompanied the president of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, in his swearing in for a new presidential term, the Minister of People's Power for Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez Ramírez, reported on her official Telegram channel.

Minister Jiménez Ramírez arrived in the Republic of Uganda on Monday to represent Venezuela at the inauguration of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, for a seventh term at the head of the East African nation.

The senior official stressed that Museveni's tenure in the pro tempore presidency of the Non-Aligned Movement (MNOAL) ratifies the political stability and regional leadership of a country allied with Venezuela.

This strategic alliance is based on the principles of self-determination and the defense of the right of peoples to build their own destiny without external interference.

Representing the Bolivarian nation, President (E) Delcy Rodríguez sent a message of brotherhood to the Ugandan people, where she expressed the will to consolidate a joint agenda based on mutual respect and the growth of both nations in the heart of Africa.

Venezuela and Uganda agree that South-South cooperation is the ideal mechanism to advance sovereign development. Under this vision, both countries are committed to the decolonization of knowledge and the exchange of knowledge as essential tools to guarantee collective well-being and economic and social independence.

Finally, Venezuela ratified its commitment as a consistent ally of Uganda, where the great vitality and unwavering spirit of the African land stand out.
