The Venezuelan national soccer team won a resounding victory over Bolivia's 2-0 team and reached 18 points in the qualifying table, three points behind their direct rivals Uruguay and Colombia.

In the game considered the most important in the history of national football, taking into account that the victory represents securing the seventh place that gives a ticket to the 2026 world repechage, the local players in Maturín scored thanks to a Bolivian own goal and a left-handed shot by Salomón Rondón, in the first half.

The red wines leave for Uruguay for the sixteenth date, on Tuesday, and close in September with clashes against Argentina, as visitors, and Colombia, at home.
