The Ministry of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela rejected this Tuesday a statement issued by the Brazilian Foreign Ministry, adding to the interventionist pronouncements regarding the electoral process on July 28.
In a statement, released by the head of the Venezuelan diplomatic portfolio, Yván Gil, they highlight that the document drafted by the Brazilian Foreign Ministry “seems to have been issued from the United States Department of State, where comments full of profound ignorance and ignorance about the political reality in Venezuela are issued.”
In this regard, Venezuela questions that the Foreign Ministry of the Amazonian country “is not concerned about the assassination and destabilization attempts that have been dismantled in recent weeks, including yesterday's attempt, when an extremist of the organization Vente Venezuela was arrested with weapons willing to attempt the life of President Nicolás Maduro Moros during the impressive demonstration that accompanied him at the time of his registration as candidate”.
Below is the full text of the statement:
The Ministry of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela repudiates the gray and interventionist communiqué, written by officials of the Brazilian Foreign Ministry, which seems to have been issued from the United States Department of State, in which comments are made full of profound ignorance and ignorance about the political reality in Venezuela.
The Venezuelan government has maintained a conduct faithful to the principles that govern diplomacy and friendly relations with Brazil, under no circumstances does it make, nor will it make value judgments about the political and judicial processes that take place in that country, and therefore, it has the morality to demand the strictest respect for the principle of non-interference in internal affairs and for our democracy, one of the most robust in the region.
It is striking that the Brazilian Foreign Ministry is not concerned about the assassination and destabilization attempts that have been dismantled in recent weeks, including yesterday's attempt, when an extremist from the organization Vente Venezuela was arrested with weapons willing to attempt the life of President Nicolás Maduro Moros during the impressive demonstration that accompanied him at the time of his registration as a candidate.
The Venezuelan Electoral Power has called for July 28 of this year the corresponding presidential election by constitutional mandate. This process will be carried out successfully, like the rest of the events that have been completed in the last 25 years of the Bolivarian Revolution, without the intervention or protection of any foreign force.
Finally, the Bolivarian Government thanks President Lula Da Silva for the expressions of solidarity, who has directly and unambiguously condemned the criminal blockade and the sanctions that the United States government has illegally imposed in order to harm our people.
